Unchanging Christ

I came across a verse recently in Hebrews that says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)
I read this verse, stopped, and read back over it again this time more slowly. After I had read it for the 4th time; I sat there on my bed thinking about that verse.
Jesus Christ is the same always. He never changes...ever. That’s a difference between Him (God Almighty) and mortal, finite men and women. We change our minds so many times daily that it’s a wonder how we can keep up with anyone let alone ourselves.
Jesus never changes. He’s the same as He has been since He created earth about 6,000 years ago.[1] The cool thing about all of this is since He never changes; we can put our trust in Him. That truly is awesome when you stop and think about it.
