Mercy Me (Easter) Bring the rain

It's amazing how God works in the lives of those who love Him!
This past 2 weeks have proved to be extremely strenuous. One of my cousins tried to commit suicide, several friends walked away from God, and many other things have left me feeling empty. Everytime I feel that way, I would turn on my radio to one of the only Christian stations in my area, and everytime this song played. This song has been a great encouragement to me in my life, and I wanted to share it with all of you. I hope it encourages you also. God bless and take care!!

To Amy: No that's not the reason I couldn't make it. I'm sorry about not showing. I really wanted to come, but I didn't have a ride to the graduation. I'm praying for ya!!

Encouraging...and discouraging post. But in the long run it is the former!

Wow, you've got a lot going on. I'll be praying for you, okay?

To Austin: Thanks for the prayers! I really appreciate them.

To everyone: I won't be on much to check comments or post a new blog post for a few weeks. I have a whole lot of school that I need to finish up by the end of this month.

oh, I'm sorry, Moriah. I love it when God comes to meet us here, instead having to come to Him. It happened to me the other day, and I instantly felt a little better.

I have no idea what the pain must be like, but if that happened to me...well let's just say it would be a lot harder than what I am going through now.

To Keith: Gotta' love computers! ;) Thanks! "I have no idea what the pain must be like, but if that happened to me...well let's just say it would be a lot harder than what I am going through now." All I can do is trust in the Lord. I know He'll show me what He wants me to do, and I know He'll get me through.

Daisy: Thanks! All we can do is pray for our friends who've walked away from God.

To Rachel: It's alright. From what I've heard she's doing much better now. Praise God! I do know what you mean. It IS a nice feeling.

To Lindsey: Thanks for the prayers!! I appreciate them! School's going pretty good. (If it weren't I wouldn't be on the computer right now. =))

To everyone: Thanks to you all for the prayers! I appreciate them!

Yeah, Believe me, I'm thankful for my computer...even if it doesn't have sound. Usually trusting in the Lord is an inverse relationship with comfort. The more comfort the less we tend to trust God, the less comfort the more we tend to trust the Lord. I heard a quote by a puritan I believe, maybe not I'm not sure, but it went something like this:
"Give me my daily bread, no more so that I may despise you in my riches and no less that I may forsake you in my despair"

Moriah- Yea! That's great. It's nice to see you back on your blog.
Do you feel less stressed now?

Keith- In the Message version of the Bible one of the Proverbs sounds a lot like that. It's a neat prayer that all of us can/could/should pray.

To Keith: Unfortunately, you're right on that one. We tend to forget about God when life's going great, but when trouble comes we go running back to Him. The awesome thing about it all is that God always takes us back no matter what we do, because we're His children and nothing can take us out of His hand.

To Lindsey: Me too! I still have a ton of school to do. (I was doing school till 4 this afternoon) Please continue to pray for me! But I am definately less stressed about it all. I can see the end of the school year so that in a way spurs me on. =)
