Time To Fight

When you go to school, work, or even the store; what do you see?
I see a spiritually sick and dying generation. They go about their lives thinking everything is alright when in reality it isn’t. They either think they are good enough to get into heaven, or they have no hope. They cut themselves just to dull the inner pain. They get drunk so they can forget their past. They starve themselves so they can look like the “perfect” people on MTV, and in teen magazines. They sleep with their girlfriends and boyfriends because they think that’s how you show love. They kill themselves for lack of love, lack of self-esteem, lack of everything.
This is our generation.
For too long I’ve sat back and watched my generation destroy itself. For too long I’ve kept quiet about who God is and what He has done for the world.
Well, not anymore!

I’m going to let my light shine before this generation, our generation. Nothing is going to keep me quiet any longer.
I’m standing on the front lines! I’m ready for the war. Will you stand with me?
I will not be conformed to this world. I will not be what the world wants me to be. To the world I am dead, but I have been made alive in Jesus Christ.
I will not keep silent! We live in a world where two people die every second.
What I have to say will heal the hurting, calm the frightened, convict the self-righteous, and proud, give hope to the hopeless, and give security to the insecure.
Will you join me in the fight to save the souls of our generation?

Very excelent post.
I agree with you that a lot of Christians are scared to stand up for what they believe because of the name calling or friend loss. But all Christians will be pursicuted for Jesus' name sake anyway.

Jesus said, "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." (John 3:19-20)

I will stand in the light, even if I am pursicuted. Our Lords name is greater than life itself.

bad news...just 5 hours ago; there was a shooting at Virginia Tech; an Asian gunman went crazy and shot 31 students..all dead..he shot 50 all together. please pray for the people that were involved in this. pray for our nation and pray for the schools of our nation. when i look all around and see all this violence; I know what I need to do; stand up and start witnessing. please pray for me that I will not be quiet any longer. it is my choice to be quiet, but it is hard to sit there at school and be quiet when i hear and see horrible things. i know that u will say i'm right, but also u say then do it..and u'll say ur famous word..duhhh!!lol..love ya lots,
amy
