Fear Of Witnessing
I’m taking an evangelism course called Evangelism Explosion (EE), and this last Sunday was the first On-The-Job-Training (OJT). Basically, we go out and witness to people on the streets with our team, which usually consists of 3 or 4 people.
Well, I became extremely nervous when I got into the car to go on OJT with my team. Yet, I was excited to go out and witness to people.
So on our way to the hospital, I prayed to the Lord and asked Him to take away my fear of witnessing to someone I don’t know. Immediately, I felt a sense of relief, and my fear was gone.
Later on that night, when I got back from witnessing with my team; Scripture verses kept popping into my head.
Matthew 6:34- Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Proverbs 3:5-6- Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make you paths straight.
Hebrews 13:6- ...the Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
We don’t need to be afraid of what someone might think, say, or do to you when you go out and share the Gospel with them. If it’s the Lord’s will that they be saved; He’ll soften their hearts, and they’ll hear and receive the Word of the Lord.

hey moriah, i found a site that you should check out... it's called "you christian president".
also, i would recommend john conner's resistance manifesto. he's a christian activist for 9/11 truth.
thanks again
I'm going to take a wild guess and say you probably don't want to check out those sites, Moriah. :)
Anyways... I saw you have Way of the Master linked from your blog. Did you use their (biblical) method?
To Kingdom Advancer: You're right on not really wanting to check out those sites. I know the first one (you christian president) is basically dissing President Bush, and saying that we need to get rid of him and all that jazz.
As to the second one, my dad has been checking it out, and has come to the conclusion that John Conner and his buddies are a part of a hoax. A lot of the stuff they talk about just doesn't add up.
While in EE, we use the EE method which is much longer then WOTM, but when I go out to witness outside of class I use WOTM mixed in with EE.
To mediamonarchy: I've got a question for you...would you rather have Hillary Clinton as president? I mean seriously, if she becomes president in '08, you can say good-bye to any form of peace that we still have left.
very true moriah..i completely agree with your comments towards mediamonarchy and kingdom advancer..also this blog was encouraging..great idea..lol..u prolly got the idea after our talk. thanx for all the encouragement. if i didn't have you as a friend; i know i would feel pretty hopeless.
moriah..how does your dad know that is pretty much a hoax? how does he know that what the guy says is wrong? just wondering..not mad or anything just curious?
To Amy: Well, like I said in my above comment...some of the things he talks about just don't add up. If I'm not mistaken, they blame Bush for what happened at 9/11. They say he's to blame for what happened, and that he was behind the plane crashes.
I'm really glad I'm able to encourage you in your walk with the Lord, Amy. I'll continue to pray for you.
Way of the Master is AWESOME, I love their technique, (Well actually it isn't their's Ray said they got it from Jesus, and I agree.
